Job description

Travel Coordinator

Coordinate travel arrangements for K2 employees and Independent Technical Consultants (ITCs) in accordance with K2 Policy and the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). This includes, but is not limited to airfare, hotel, and rental car accommodations. Plan routes, itineraries, and other travel details, and compute fares and fees, using telephones and email while obtaining the best value for K2 Solutions. Make travel arrangements integrating personal rewards accounts (SkyMiles, Hotel Rewards, etc). Make rental car reservations utilizing K2's Corporate Accounts. Ensure that travel needs are met within the constraints of the company travel budget. Confer with K2 employees and ITCs to determine their service requirements and travel preferences. Inform them of essential travel information, such as travel times and transportation connections. Assist K2 employees and ITCs in changing travel plans when necessary. Maintain detailed, organized records of all travel arrangements. Maintain accurate K2 Employee Travel Information and maintain historical database. Support K2 finance in processing travel expense reports and reconciling travel expenses associated with K2's corporate cards. Maintain receipts for all travel booked using K2's corporate card and submit expense reports within 5 business days of travel. Post hotel and car reservations booked through SABRE GDS on host agency website in order to receive commissions for the company. Supervise the Assistant Travel Coordinator. Review travel booked by and expense reports submitted by the Assistant Travel Coordinator.

Experience and Education Requirements :

  • Three years' experience as a professional travel coordinator.
  • Experience in overseas (OCONUS) travel coordination.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office 365 suite.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using SABRE GDS.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing corporate expense accounts.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of the DoD Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or similar field.
