Metrology Programmer – CMM & Vision Systems
Join Dynamic Manufacturing and help us verify the performance of mission‑critical components used across automotive, off‑road, industrial, and racing applications. As a Metrology Programmer, you will build, tune, and execute programs for coordinate and vision measurement systems to confirm every feature meets print and process requirements.
A day in the life
- Start with a review of prints and GD&T to plan inspection strategy for new and existing parts.
- Create or refine routines in PC‑DMIS, MCOSMOS, Calypso, and MeasureX to support first‑article and in‑process inspections.
- Run CMM / VMM equipment, analyze results, and compare to specifications; communicate any nonconformances promptly.
- Complete full dimensional layouts for first‑piece, in‑process, third‑party supplied precision machined parts, and internally fabricated tooling.
- Partner with machinists, engineers, and quality leads to clarify drawings, optimize probes / fixturing, and improve measurement repeatability.
- Document measurement methods and update job instructions and related quality documents as needed.
What you bring
Hands‑on familiarity with CMM / VMM software (PC‑DMIS, MCOSMOS, Calypso, MeasureX).Working knowledge of GD&T, print reading, and the use of precision metrology tools.Analytical approach with strong attention to detail and sound problem‑solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Clear written and verbal communication and solid math skills.Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to work on the production floor and lift up to 30 lbs.Bilingual capabilities (English / Spanish or English / Polish) are a plus.Why you’ll love working here
