Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare job)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (May 7, 2024 – August 6, 2024)

Setting : Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU nursing job)

Shift : 5x8 hour day shifts (Monday – Friday)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Call Requirement : 1 overnight call per week and every 4th week includes weekend call (Friday / Saturday / Sunday)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1910–$2050 per week

Employment Type : Travel RN, W2

PACU RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or critical care nursing experience

BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)

ACLS certification preferred

Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Ability to participate in on-call rotation as scheduled

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures

Monitor and document patient vital signs, responding promptly to changes in condition

Administer prescribed medications and treatments in a clinical setting

Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery processes

Maintain accurate, timely nursing documentation

Participate in overnight and weekend call rotations as required for PACU nursing jobs
