Electrical Engineer Power Systems - Senior Level
Join Moffatt & Nichol's Jacksonville, FL office as a Senior Electrical Engineer. Lead the design and execution of power distribution, lighting, grounding, and communications systems on large waterfront infrastructure projects spanning ports, DOD, and transportation sectors.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical designs and one-line diagrams for medium / low voltage power distribution systems.
- Design and coordinate switchgear, switchboards, and lighting systems, including lightning protection and grounding.
- Perform selective coordination, arc flash studies, and engineering calculations.
- Prepare large contract documents, cost estimates, and submittals.
- Conduct construction observations and review electrical work on all project phases.
- Assist with company-wide quality assurance, quality control, and NAVFAC or other DOD project processes.
- Support business development efforts and grow the local electrical engineering design client base.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.Professional Engineer license (required).10–15 years of experience leading complex electrical design for power distribution projects (required).Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP or EasyPower, AGI32, MS Office, and PowerPoint.Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and technical report writing skills.Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) or eligibility to obtain (preferred).U.S. citizenship and successful NIST 800-171 background check (required).Moffatt & Nichol's Employment Benefits
