Description : SUMMARY :
The Disease Intervention Program Coordinator will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Minority AIDS Initiative (SAMHSA MAI) project. The position will actively participate in the development and implementation of effective and quality rapid screening and linkage to care services. The position will ensure that services provided are within the guidelines of agency mission and project requirements. This position is responsible for maintaining project compliance and all reporting as required by project guidelines and funding requirements.

Reports to the MAT & MAI Program Director

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations.
2. Cultural and diversity understanding and awareness
3. Interpersonal skills that promote and encourage teamwork
4. Advanced knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality
5. Advanced knowledge of behaviors and emotions related to addiction
6. Advanced knowledge of community and referral resources for clients diverse needs
7. Skills in documenting effective case management notes
Education and Experience :
1. Bachelors degree (required), Master's degree in public health or related field (preferred)
2. At least 2 years experience in grant management and implementation. (required)
3. Experience with supervising staff and leading a team (preferred)
4. Experience working with vulnerable populations. (required)
5. Experience gathering and reporting on program data. (required)
6. Valid NM drivers license [at least 3 years] and clean driving record (required)
