Job Summary

$40K start incentive, insurance on your first day, malpractice with tail, PSLF Program!The Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine division at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, is seeking a board-certified / eligible physician with the desire to do advanced procedures, to enhance its growing Pulmonary Critical Care team. This full-time opportunity combines outpatient pulmonary care, inpatient pulmonary / critical care, and optional sleep medicine.

Job Duties

Key Responsibilities :

• 1 week ICU : 12-hour days (7 days; mostly days. Some swings / nights).
• 2 days off post ICU
• 1 week inpatient consults, studies, etc : 8-hour days (5-7days; days only). Call from home
• 2 weeks clinic, tele consults and fellow clinic : 8-hour days (volume : 12-14 patients / day). Blocked PFT reading time of 1 hour / day
• Typical clinic day consists of 6 hours of patient contact time and 2 hours of administrative discretionary time
• Opportunity to participate in clinics focused on ILD, PH, COPD, Respiratory Failure and Inspire

Procedures & Teaching Opportunities :

navigational bronchoscopy, Bronchoscopic Lung Volume Reduction (BLVR) , bronchial valves, ION robotic bronchoscopy , endobronchial biopsies, plus further advanced procedures program development
