Description
Responsibilities :
- Perform medical physics surveys of all of medical imaging equipment including radiographic fluoroscopic and ultrasound units
- Provide radioactive materials license support and perform quarterly audits of radiation protection programs.
- Complete all reports on time with accuracy which consists of analyzing data listing observations and recommending follow-up actions.
Travel Requirements :
Travel by car or plane to various client locations is required within the MidAtlantic region. Travel times from home can vary to customer locations. Some overnight stays will be necessary averaging less than 30% of the time.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelors degree or higher in medical physics health physics physics biomedical engineering or any equivalent from an accredited college or university.Solid foundation in radiation physics radiation biology electronics and other areas relevant to equipment quality assurance testing.Experience in any of the following areas of Imaging Physics practice : Health Physics Radiation Safety Services Mammography MRI CT Nuclear Medicine (including gamma cameras and licensing) PET Radiological / Fluoroscopy Surveys and Ultrasound.Must be eligible for registration in the state of North Carolina Virginia and South CarolinaEligible to serve as RSO for a medical radioactive materials license is preferred.Required Experience :
