Under general supervision, Police Cadets perform administrative support functions in the Police Department and other related duties as assigned. This is a continuous recruitment and may close at any time without notice. Prompt application is highly encouraged. Police Cadet is an at-will, part-time position which is not eligible for City benefits. Examples Of Duties, Responsibilities And Expectations

Police Cadets perform part-time administrative support duties in the Records Unit or other Divisions within the Police Department including but not limited to :

• Typing and operating computer equipment
• Filing
• Answering telephones and providing assistance at the front counter or desk position
• Assisting in the maintenance of the Police facilities and vehicles
• Processing Livescan fingerprint applications
• Directing traffic
• Assisting the department as needed
• Performing other required duties as assigned by supervisors or department personnel

Selection process may include but is not limited to : Application review and evaluation, written examination, performance test and interview.
