Maintenance Technician I

Compensation : $22 $26 / hour (based on experience)
Position Summary : The Maintenance Technician I plays a key role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency of our House. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, addressing repair needs, and supporting building operations. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set in basic maintenance and a willingness to contribute to the comfort and well-being of our families, staff, and volunteers.
Responsibilities :
- Perform routine building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Conduct inspections of the property and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Assist with upkeep of indoor and outdoor areas, including grounds, parking areas, and common spaces.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and other staff to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure all work meets safety, health, and compliance standards.
- Support special projects and events as needed.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.13 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or a similar role.Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repair.Ability to use hand and power tools safely.Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to the mission of RMHC Philly.Compensation & Schedule :
