Position Summary :

Person in this position will assist in the provision of meals. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Essential Job Functions :

• Prepare all meals in accordance with approved menus, meeting mealtime schedules.
• Record client / staff meal census.
• Maintain high (Health Department) standards, cleanliness, sanitation, including the wearing of gloves and / or hairnets and / or caps at all time within food preparation and serving areas.
• Prepare requisitions for food and commodities as needed.
• Receive and store all deliveries properly.
• Assure that equipment is in good operating condition and that temperatures are within proper standards. Be constantly aware of fire and safety hazards. Report repair / maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Label, date, and store all left-overs in accordance with safe food handling requirements.
• Maintain professional standards at all times with food preparation and handling, as well as maintaining a high level of good housekeeping.
• Maintain current inventory on all commodities and stored goods.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some possible evenings and weekends.
• Complete documentation of services, if required, on provided forms in a timely manner.
• Assist other WestCare staff as needed in a collaborative manner to promote cooperation and portray a professional image to the community.
• Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
