Job Title : Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. You will perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, filter changes, and belt replacements, while supporting the setup and teardown of production equipment during line changes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including lubrication, filter changes, and belt replacements.
• Assist with the setup and teardown of production equipment during line changes.
• Document maintenance activities and equipment issues in tracking systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area in line with 5S standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and use proper PPE while performing job duties.
• Support facility-related repairs such as lighting and minor plumbing.
• Participate in maintenance training and skill development programs.
• Support emergency maintenance needs as required.

Work Environment

This role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and climb for extended periods. You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance. Work may involve exposure to hot, cold, and noisy environments depending on plant conditions. Tasks may require working from ladders, scaffolding, or elevated platforms.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blacksburg, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.73 - $28.73 / hr.
