American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift ICU float pool position covering multiple acute care facilities, requiring a compact or ID RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Clinical Support Unit Float Pool within an acute care hospital settingFloat to ICU and critical care units across Boise, Meridian, and Nampa facilities, with coverage strictly within specialtyShift schedule is 7P-7A with weekends as neededPatient ratios for ICU are 1 : 1-2Float pool may require floating between facilities and units during a shift, including 1 : 1 sitter assignmentsTravelers are prioritized to float as unit needs ariseEpic EMR is used; prior Epic experience is strongly preferredPrimary responsibilities include providing ICU-level care and adapting to different hospital environments as neededNo self-scheduling; assignments are communicated via app one hour prior to each shiftCharge nurse present on every unit and shift; float pool offers strong leadership support and regular check-ins with travelersOrientation includes a meet-and-greet on day one plus three shifts of inpatient orientationNo specific scrub color required but attire must be clean and professionalPrior permanent employees must have a 12-month gap before returning as a travelerHoliday shifts may be required if coverage is needed\n \n Requirements\n
Active ID or compact state RN license required at time of considerationMinimum 2 years recent ICU experience requiredPrevious travel nursing experience requiredCurrent certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCCAbility to titrate drips in ICUDriver’s license requiredTwo recent professional references, including one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 yearsCandidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility\n Benefits\n
