Work arrangement :
- Fully onsite in Vandalia, OH.
- W2 position; 4 months
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.
Position summary :
We are seeking an experienced Mass Properties Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field.In this challenging, fast-paced environment, you'll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience to design and create the most groundbreaking aerospace and defense technologies - those that exist today and those that will shape tomorrow.Required knowledge, skills, and abilities :
Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experienceBasic knowledge of engineering principles and practicesExperience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teamsExposure to aircraft weighingExperience with weight and balance analysis and verificationAutomated Weight and Balance System (AWBS) trained and prior experience with aircraft weight and balance paperwork (Chart A, Form B, Chart C, Chart E, Form F)Preferred :
Exposure to Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools such as CATIA and SolidWorksPrevious experience generating ballast plans to support flight test activitiesKnowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, fundamentals of mass properties engineeringUnderstanding of aircraft systemsBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and / or US MilitaryThe ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be requiredWork environment :
Physical / Mental / Emotional Requirements :Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterityRarely lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs.Working Conditions :Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high / low temperatures, sun, rain / snow, etc.)
