Job descriptionWe are seeking an experienced Mass Properties Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field. In this challenging, fast-paced environment, you'll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience to design and create the most groundbreaking aerospace and defense technologies - those that exist today and those that will shape tomorrow. Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams Exposure to aircraft weighing Experience with weight and balance analysis and verification Automated Weight and Balance System (AWBS) trained and prior experience with aircraft weight and balance paperwork (Chart A, Form B, Chart C, Chart E, Form F) Exposure to Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools such as CATIA and SolidWorks Previous experience generating ballast plans to support flight test activities Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, fundamentals of mass properties engineering Understanding of aircraft systems Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and / or US Military The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required Physical / Mental / Emotional Requirements : Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity Rarely lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs. Working Conditions : Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals / materials Rarely exposed to loud noises
DPP is seeking a Mass Properties Engineer for an opportunity in Vandalia, Ohio.
Work arrangement :
- Fully onsite in Vandalia, OH.
- W2 position; 4 months
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.
