Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Austin, TX 78705 (Central Texas nursing jobs)

Unit : Telemetry Unit (25 beds, 2nd floor, main building)

Contract Length : 13 weeks (Travel nurse contract)

Start Date : January 5, 2026

End Date : April 6, 2026

Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM)

Shift Duration : 12 Hour Days

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per schedule (2 weekends per 4-week schedule)

On-Call : No call required

Dress Code : Navy scrubs required

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1360 - $1460 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Texas or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience

Current ACLS and BLS certifications

NIH Stroke Scale certification

LVAD and post-CABG experience preferred

Proficiency with Meditech EMR preferred

Strong clinical support skills; team-oriented and flexible personality

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in a 25-bed Telemetry unit

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including RNs, PCTs, unit coordinators, and nurse educators

Maintain a patient ratio of 5 : 1 with Patient Care Technician (PCT) support

Accurately document care and assessments in Meditech EMR

Adapt to changing patient needs in a fast-paced clinical environment

Follow unit policies, including punctuality and dress code standards
