POSITION : Direct Support Professional.
STATUS :
WHO IS A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL?
A supportive, “hands-on” person who assists Deaf Adults with Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities. Includes providing 1 : 1 support most of the time, but can be up to 1 : 4. Responsibilities for assisting in the evening routine including personal care, preparing meals, administering medication, and transporting to medical appointments / activities, and job sites. Other responsibilities as identified in the annual Person-Centered Plan (PCP) meeting.
