Security Analyst I

Huntsville, AL

Chenega Military, Intelligence & Operations Support (MIOS) is seeking a Security Analyst I to perform declassification analysis and support large-scale government operations.

Summary

Perform declassification analysis of documents related to all MDA Research, Development, and Acquisition (RDA) Programs, including Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities, and fielding of the BMDS worldwide. Apply analytical principles and practices, research and technical support in the development and production of security products and activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform declassification analysis in a classified environment on a government site.
  • Complete MDA reviewer training and certification to perform this effort.
  • Conduct reviews manually (paper), digitally (computer based), or on special media depending on the complexity.
  • Conduct page-by-page, line-by-line declassification analysis.
  • Recommend action to retain, refer or declassify based on analysis.
  • Prepare material for shipment to / from external sites.
  • Convert antiquated special media to digitized media to preserve records.
  • Analyze and resolve problems with supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Some college relevant to security / CI fields preferred.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with missile defense or other DoD programs preferred.
  • Experience or education applicable to analytical document review within the DoD.
  • HRRDR certified within 1 month of start date.
  • Final Secret clearance with ability to qualify for Top Secret.

    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with DoD and MDA processes and procedures.
  • Prior experience in DoD security or intelligence desired.
  • Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS / SCI) desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software applications.
  • Travel 0-5% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
