Warehouse Operations Specialist
We're seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to manage the receipt, handling, storage, and distribution of materialsincluding hazardous itemswithin a dynamic warehouse setting. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth logistics and inventory control across departments.
Key responsibilities include :
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments, including hazardous materials.
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring proper storage and labeling of items.
- Issue tools, parts, and supplies to internal teams and subcontractors as needed.
- Coordinate material flow between departments to support operational efficiency.
- Unload deliveries from commercial carriers and process associated paperwork.
- Identify and report damaged goods; assist with freight claims and discrepancy resolution.
- Manage tool check-in / check-out procedures and maintain equipment records.
- Research chemical compatibility for safe storage and provide relevant safety data sheets (SDS).
- Determine packaging needs for reshipment and select appropriate containers.
- Consolidate, repackage, and transport materials using forklifts, high lifts, and other warehouse vehicles.
- Enter inventory data into digital systems and generate reports as required.
- Support additional warehouse tasks and logistics functions as assigned.
Required qualifications include :
High school diploma or equivalent.At least 3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations.Familiarity with military supply systems is advantageous.Proficient in using computer systems for inventory and supply documentation.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Skilled in operating forklifts and pallet movers (2,00010,000 lb capacity).Comfortable working at heights using picker equipment (up to 35 feet).Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.Willingness to complete forklift certification within 30 days of hire.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.Able to perform tasks requiring independent decision-making and problem-solving.Pay and benefits :
The pay range for this position is $29.08 - $29.08 / hr.
