Job Title : Press Brake Operator

Reports to : Sheetmetal Fabricator Lead / Manufacturing Manager
Job Description :
A Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up the press brake machine and running the job.
Job Responsibilities :
- Operator Press Brake Equipment : Setup and Operator with the correct tooling.
- Run test part to ensure setup is correct.
- Perform the first article check; verify that components meet quality standards by conducting inspections and documenting results. Report any discrepancies or non-conformances to lead or Manager.
- Submit verified first article to quality team for acceptance on traveler.
- Continue to self-inspect part throughout the run to ensure quality. Log into a job via the data collection system; to keep track of times on job
- Review the job and count the parts to be worked daily.
- Log out of the job via the data collection system after completing the job.
- Video process for repeatability next time
- Break down setup and put tooling away
- Collaboration : Work closely with co-workers and lead to troubleshoot any issues
- Documentation : Maintain accurate documents (work traveler / part tags / etc.)
- Read & interpret blueprints, specifications & other internal documents
- Use of inspection equipment such as gages / tooling
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Skills & Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Must have 5+ years of experience operating press brakes (Amada Machines preferred)Understanding and ability to define and communicate (both verbally & written)Blueprint reading, including full scale mylars.Strong analytical skills and attention to detailPress brake machine setup skills.Use hand-held measuring tools and general tool knowledge.Basic computer knowledge.Self-starter and require minimal supervisionEffective teamwork, interpersonal, and leadership skillsPhysical demands

The plant is a machining environment, collaborating with quality control teams and other technicians to ensure the highest precision in parts and products. The role may involve working in a fast – paced, deadline-driven environment where attention to detail is crucial.
Safety glasses are always required in production areas. OSHA regulations are followed.
