Location : Utica, NY

Job Type : Full-Time, 10-Month

MVCC is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure track, ten-month Instructor in the School of Business and Hospitality with a focus in Economics. This position will provide instruction in the Business and Accounting programs, with courses that may include economics, accounting, management, finance, marketing, and leadership. Teaching faculty at MVCC play a vital role in fulfilling the College’s mission of providing high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students. Our faculty have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives every day.

Full-time faculty members are responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with established policies and guidelines. Courses may be offered in traditional classroom settings or online, and may include both daytime and evening classes on the Utica and / or Rome campuses. Specific assignments are determined by the academic qualifications of the individual and the needs of the School. In addition to teaching full-time faculty contribute to program assessment, curriculum development, student advisement, and program recruitment. Faculty members also actively participate in School and College committees, supporting the ongoing growth and success of MVCC’s academic community.

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications :

  • Master's Degree in Economics, Business, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's Degree in Economics with experience in teaching economics at the college level
  • Experience in course design, program development, assessment, and student advisement
