Location : Newport, Vermont 05855 (Northeast Kingdom)

Facility Type : Critical Access Hospital Emergency Room

Assignment Length : 20 weeks (12 / 1 / 2025 – 4 / 20 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM), rotating shifts, every other weekend required

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week (72 hours bi-weekly)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990 - $2130

Employment Type : Travel nursing assignment

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (3-5 years preferred)

BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)

Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and every other weekend

Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills

Commitment to attending quarterly department education sessions

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages

Assess, triage, and manage patients with acute and emergent medical conditions

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record

Participate in ongoing education, training, and quality improvement initiatives

Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment in accordance with hospital and healthcare regulations
