  • Job Summary :

    The Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative Floater provides expert phlebotomy services across multiple locations, ensuring patient trust, specimen integrity, and compliance with established collection protocols. This role requires strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills , as it involves supporting new staff, onboarding clients, and maintaining workflow efficiency across assigned sites. The ideal candidate demonstrates process excellence, professional judgment, and adaptability in fast-paced clinical environments.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection according to company standards.
  • Travel between assigned locations to ensure consistent service and coverage.
  • Serve as a mentor, coach, and resource advisor to new employees.
  • Lead or assist daily operations at multiple Patient Service Centers (PSC) or in-office phlebotomy sites.
  • Maintain accurate specimen labeling, data entry, and documentation.
  • Foster an atmosphere of professionalism, safety, and exceptional patient care .
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, IT, Billing, Logistics) to resolve issues related to specialty or high-volume test orders.
  • Manage multiple priorities in high-volume settings with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills with patients and staff.
  • Required Experience :

  • Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • At least 3 years in a Patient Service Center or in-office phlebotomy environment preferred.
  • Prior experience in multi-site or mobile coverage roles a plus.
  • Data entry proficiency required.
  • Nice-to-Have Experience :

  • Leadership or training experience within a clinical or diagnostic setting.
  • Customer service experience in healthcare or retail environments.
  • Familiarity with complex or high-volume test order management.
  • Required Skills :

  • Phlebotomy and specimen handling expertise
  • Patient service and relationship management

  • Education & Certification :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, and WA).

  • Schedule : Variable hours, Monday-Friday; may include weekends or overtime.
  • Work Environment : Onsite and field-based (multi-location float).
  • Travel between nearby patient service sites required.
