View Point Health\n\nJob Title : Registered Nurse (RN)\n\nJob Code : HCP071 / Registered Nurse 2\n\nShift : Full Time / 40 Hours Per Week\n\nJob Hours : 1st 7 : 00am - 3 : 30 and 2nd Shift 3 : 00pm - 11 : 30pm\n\nBase Location : Lawrenceville, GA.\n\nDivision / Department / Program : Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit\n\nView Point Health's Adult Crisis Stabilization program (Lawrenceville, GA) provides psychiatric crisis intervention and stabilization services to Adults. The Adult CSU operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.\n\nUnder general supervision, assesses client health problems and needs. Develops and implements nursing care plans and maintains medical records. Administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients. May advise clients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities : \n

  • Perform nursing assessments, develop initial nursing treatment plan, provide supportive counseling, administer medications, provide crisis intervention services, and ensure that nursing care is provided per physician orders. Supervise shift staff.\n
  • Serves as liaison between the admitting facility, guardian, and our onsite team, regarding client referrals and collateral information.\n
  • Each client will be assessed by a nurse when they arrive on site.\n
  • Responsible for monitoring changes in conditions, shift reports, daily and shift nursing note, nursing assessments, developing the initial nursing treatment plan, gathering collateral information as related to ABA therapy, providing clinical and medical input during multidisciplinary treatment team, and administering medications related to crisis intervention services.\n
  • Our goal is to ensure that all nursing care and medical services are provided in a manner that is sensitive to the needs of the population we are serving.\n
  • Responsible for medical treatment to include, PPE's, blood draws, collecting urine samples, MD orders, charting, direct patient care, discharges, assessments, patient education, and other documentation, and reporting all pertinent client information. The nursing staff will use the eight rights of medication administration, as well as two client identifiers, any time medications are administered.\n
  • Oversee the overall wellness and safety of the clients as well as monitor and manage any stable medical conditions while the client is at the Adult CSU, and report findings to the provider and treatment team.\n
  • Document all vital client information in the electronic health record according to standards and assist with orienting new staff to the unit.\n
  • Provide relief for breaks and assist with Direct Care floor coverage as needed.\n
  • Attend all training courses, nurses' meetings, and other staff meetings as assigned.\n
  • Other duties as assigned.\n\nMinimum Qualifications : \n\nAssociate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and current Georgia license as a Registered\nProfessional Nurse or Multistate license; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Registered Nurse 1 (HCP070) or position equivalent.\n\nPreferred Qualifications : \n
  • One plus years of nursing experience\n
  • One plus years of experience working in a behavioral health facility or with behavioral health clients.\n
  • Experience working with psychiatric adults.\n\nRequirements / Competencies : \n
  • Must be a fully licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Georgia.\n
  • Employees are subject to random drug screens.\n
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.\n
  • Requires long periods of sitting / standing.\n
  • Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.\n
  • Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)\n
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.\n
  • Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note : Some positions may require a valid driver's license.\n
