Position Summary
The Dental Front Office Coordinator is the first and last point of contact for our patients. This role is responsible for delivering a seamless, friendly, and efficient patient experience from check-in to check-out, while also supporting scheduling, billing, insurance coordination, and administrative systems.
Dental office experience preferredKey Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients with warmth and professionalismAnswer phones, manage voicemails, and route calls appropriatelySchedule appointments and manage provider calendars using Dentrix AscendCollect patient payments and provide accurate financial estimates; Fee-for-Service practice offering exceptional personalized care with advanced technology & materials.Verify insurance benefits and communicate clearly about out-of-network policiesMaintain accurate digital records and ensure all forms are up-to-dateFollow up on unscheduled treatment, cancellations, and recareSupport patient communication workflows : reminders, confirmations, follow-upsParticipate in daily huddles and team meetingsCross-train and support other front office roles as neededQualifications
Minimum 2 years of front office experience in a dental practice requiredProficiency in Dentrix Ascend preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsProfessional, friendly, and calm under pressureKnowledge of dental insurance, billing, and collections is a plusPerformance Expectations
Phones answered within 3 rings using the office scripting standardsSchedule maintained to 95%+ productivity with minimal last-minute cancellations100% accuracy in patient check-in / check-out processFinancial arrangements and estimates presented clearly and documentedPositive contribution to practice initiatives and focus
