About the Role
Brooksource Engineering Services is seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager to support our pharmaceutical manufacturing client in the delivery and startup of new high-speed automation assets at a Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO). This role is critical to ensuring successful equipment installation, qualification, and operational readiness in a GMP environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams : Drive collaboration across operations, engineering, automation, and quality to meet project milestones.
- Asset Delivery & Installation : Manage delivery, commissioning, and qualification (IQ / OQ / PQ) of new high-speed manufacturing equipment.
- Process Optimization : Oversee launch of high-speed machines and ensure compliance with GMP and SOP requirements.
- Technical Support : Provide hands-on troubleshooting and engineering support for PLC-driven systems, robotics, and vision systems.
- Documentation & Compliance : Ensure accurate batch record management and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Project Execution : Develop and maintain timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure execution of the game plan on schedule.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise :High-speed automation and packaging systems.PLC undersatnding (Rockwell, FactoryTalk).Vision systems (Keyence, Cognex) and pick-and-place robotics.Project Management :Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.Experience leading cross-functional teams in manufacturing environments.Industry Knowledge :GMP compliance and batch record processes.IQ / OQ / PQ commissioning and qualification protocols.Preferred Background :Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience.Previous experience launching new assets or facility startups.Familiarity with historian systems and paper-to-digital process transitions.Soft Skills

Jan–Feb : Resource travels to observe similar equipment in operation and gain understanding of PQ launch activities. Initial knowledge transfer and scope alignment.Mar–May : Onsite at manufacturing partner for operations preparation, supporting asset delivery and readiness activities (quality, facilities, staffing).June–July : Execute PQ launch and manage qualification activities.Aug–Dec : Track operational performance and assist with automation needs in collaboration with process engineering teams.
