This role develops and manages relationships with fleet accounts while meeting dealership standards for gross profit, sales volume and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Generates business by soliciting commercial and fleet accounts over the phone, internet, in person or mail.
  • Works directly with businesses, fleets, and private guests to maximize sales and profit for the Fleet Department.
  • Ensures and manages deliveries of all fleet vehicle sales and services.
  • Responds to guests' inquiries over the phone or internet in a timely and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinates Fleet promotions with sales promotions and advertisement.
  • Explains fully product performance, application, benefits and offers test drives to all prospects.
  • Closes sales by overcoming objections and negotiating price over the phone, internet or in person.
  • Introduces guests to dealership operations, including the service and parts departments, to emphasize to guests the quality and efficiency of the dealership's service operations.
  • Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains a prospect development system.
  • Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to guests.
  • Writes complete sales orders, processes paperwork, explains warranties, provisions and financing in accordance with established dealership policies.
  • Submits paperwork to and obtains approval from finance sources on all finance deals in a timely manner.
  • Communicates with Finance to ensure all stipulations for finalizing the paperwork are completed.
  • Assists in all other areas of the Sales Department and performs other administrative duties, as needed.
  • Maintains and achieves the sales and customer satisfaction objectives set by management.
  • Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.
  • Maintains professional appearance.
  • Qualifications

  • Superior communication and customer service skills, especially effective via email and telephone
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one (1) year sales experience (automobile industry or equivalent is a plus but not required)
  • General knowledge of vehicle leasing principles, basic mathematical concepts, equity values, and laws that govern retail automotive sales (or willing to learn)
  • A valid TX driver's license and maintain an acceptable and safe driving record

    Physical and Environmental Demands

  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
  • Able to withstand outdoor weather.
  • Stand for long periods at a time.
  • Use hands and fingers in repetitive motions, daily.
  • Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and / or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments.
  • Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Operating motor vehicles
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps.
