Position Overview

We are seeking a High School Math Teacher to deliver oneonone inperson instruction at Augustine Hills School in Wilmington Delaware. This role is ideal for educators looking for a parttime flexible schedule and the opportunity to work oneonone with students.

Youll receive a skeleton curriculum to guide you but enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to adapt instruction to each students unique learning needs and interests. Our goal is to make math engaging relatable and fun.

Provide personalized inperson oneonone instruction in high schoollevel math subject(s).

Develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles.

Create an engaging classroom experience that brings math concepts into reallife contexts.

Maintain accurate documentation of lessons student progress and grades on a weekly basis.

Collaborate with parents educators and administrators as needed.

Adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences.

Minimum Qualifications :

Minimum of 3 years of high school mathematics classroom teaching experience in any math subject (excluding student teaching or tutoring).

Bachelors degree required.

Experience creating lesson plans documenting student progress and assigning and recording grades on a weekly basis.

Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement and skill level.

Reliable transportation required; must be able to consistently report onsite to Wilmington DE location for scheduled work hours.

Preferred Qualifications :

Degree in Education or Mathematics.

Experience teaching multiple math subjects to high school students.

Teaching certification.

Experience with individualized education plans (IEPs) or working with students who have learning differences.
