Overview
The Lafayette Hotel is looking for a Chief Engineer to lead our maintenance and engineering team. This role focuses on keeping a historic San Diego landmark running smoothly for guests and staff, balancing design-driven priorities with reliable building systems.
What you’ll do
- Lead and mentor the engineering team.
- Oversee preventative maintenance across guest rooms, venues, and public spaces.
- Maintain building systems—HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool, and life-safety.
- Respond quickly to guest-impacting issues.
- Manage vendors, inspections, and special projects.
