Responsibilities

• Assist in all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, cleaning, storage, and equipment maintenance
• Prepare and cook all menu dishes as needed
• Assist Kitchen Manager in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting hourly staff for kitchen openings
• Prepare kitchen employees' weekly schedule and review bi-weekly time cards
• Make or arrange for repairs and maintenance service on all equipment and facilities
• Ensure company standards on food and safety procedures are enforced in the kitchen facilities
• Assist Kitchen Manager in implementing special promotions by providing expertise
• May perform all duties of the Cook and Kitchen help as needed
• Conduct regular inventory checks, order supplies, and check deliveries with guidance of Kitchen Manager

While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use kitchen equipment, and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours, and reach across countertops. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high. Storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have effective verbal communication skills, adapt to changing priorities, and manage conflicts / difficult situations.

Pay Range : $28 per hour – $31 per hour
