    Role : \n

    \nTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair plant equipment and machinery. Perform various aspects of building maintenance, machinery maintenance and record keeping. Maintain and repair equipment, building and ground, including vehicles, fabrication, general production tools, equipment and electrical power used to run that equipment.

    Duties and Responsibilities :

    Understand and carry out oral and written directions

    \n\t

    Close attention to detail

    \n\t

    Function with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision.

    \n\t

    Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled per assigned department.

    \n\t

    Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those in contact on a day-to-day basis.

    \n\t

    Meet minimum standards of safety and environmental control throughout the department.

    \n\t

    Meet minimum standards of housekeeping per assigned department.

    \n\t

    Run air and power hand tools in performing assigned repairs.

    \n\t

    Keep maintenance and tool records current.

    \n\t

    Follow all safety and environmental requirements.

    \n\t

    Troubleshoot and correct mechanical and electrical problems.

    \n\t

    Be knowledgeable of all equipment used in the business of bus production.

    \n\t

    Perform all maintenance and repair of production equipment and buildings.

    \n\t

    Estimate material needs for projects and repairs.

    \n\t

    Fabricate or assemble production equipment as required.

    \n\t

    In charge of maintenance in the absence of the Facilities Manager.

    \n

    Be compliant with all the rules of conduct and attendance per the company handbook.

    \n\t

    Other duties and responsibilities as required.

    \n\t

    Ensure that hazardous waste that is handled is placed into the proper container(s).

    \n\t

    Maintains all satellite and storage containers in a closed position unless adding or removing waste.

    \n\t

    Familiar with Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan.

    \n\t

    Knows spill response procedures and evacuation routes.

    \n\t

    Keep safety records current.

    \n

    Emergency coordinator for facility in the absence of other emergency coordinators

    Supervise or lead special assignment crews or personnel as required.

    Qualifications\ / Training :

    \n\n \n\t

    Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.

    \n\t

    Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, assembly drawing, schematics and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.

    \n\t

    Ability to read English and Metric tape measures and use measuring devices.

    \n\t

    Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.

    \n\t

    Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it.

    \n\t

    Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

    \n\t

    Must possess at least a Class C driver\u2019s license.

    \n\t

    Must be knowledgeable and use proper safety requirements and dictate in a variety of jobs.

    \n\t

    Must have technical knowledge of electricity.

    \n\t

    Must have general knowledge of air and hydraulic systems.

    \n\t

    Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.

    \n\t

    Possess or receive training for handling hazardous materials and wastes.

    \n

    \n\n \n\t

    Must maintain a positive rating as described in the training\ / qualification evaluation record as a Master, \u201cA\u201d, or \u201cB\u201d Maintenance Technician.

    \n

    \n\n \n\t

    Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.

    \n\t

    Be trained in Hazardous Materials Handling Operations with an annual refresher course.

    \n\t

    Hazardous waste training shall be provided to employee within six months of the date the employee filled this position and a review of this training provided every 12 months thereafter. Employee shall be supervised until training is complete. This training will consist of at least 30 minutes of classroom instruction and additional on the job training as needed.

    Annual training will include familiarization with roles as outlined in Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan

    Must be knowledgeable of all the safety and environmental requirements of all jobs in the facility.
