Emergency Medicine Physician

We are working with Vidant Health at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, NC. This group is looking for some temporary Emergency Medicine coverage over the next several months. Roanoke Rapids, NC

Emergency Medicine (will take EM / FP)

Dates : ASAP (7-12 shifts per month)

Shifts : 7a-4p, 11a-8p, 5p-2a and 10p-7a

Need to have past 12 months of EM experience

Must have ACLS, ATLS, and PALS if not ABEM

Procedures required : Suturing, assessments, radiology, lab and CT interpretation, foreign body removal, limited ophthalmology, muscular-skeletal, infectious processes

EHR = EPIC

Avg # of patients / day / provider 12

Avg # of admissions / day 6

Avg # of admissions / night 8

204 Bed Hospital

26 Beds in ED

6 designated Psych Beds

4 Fast Track Beds

Team of 9 physicians and 57 nurses

Vidant Air and Vidant Ground Support to immediately transfer patients
