Application Engineer

The Applications Engineer provides functional solutions, technical integration, and application support for multiple business systems at Taghleef Industries . This role partners closely with functional leaders and business users to understand operational requirements, analyze business processes, and deliver effective technology-driven solutions. The Applications Engineer will work across multiple platforms primarily SAP ERP , Honeywell OptiVision MES , SAP Business Warehouse , and SAP Business Objects to ensure seamless data flow, reporting accuracy, and system optimization.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with functional business leaders to identify process improvement opportunities and define system requirements.
  • Analyze and document business workflows, translating them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Design and implement application interfaces, integrations, and reporting solutions across SAP and other enterprise systems.
  • Provide functional support for key applications, ensuring stability, performance, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to test, validate, and deploy new features, system enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including configuration guides, functional specifications, and user procedures.
  • Manage and resolve Help Desk tickets related to assigned applications.
  • Conduct system acceptance testing, end-user training, and post-implementation support.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to improve data integrity, analytics, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Support integration initiatives between SAP ERP, Honeywell OptiVision MES, SAP BW / BO, PowerBi, and other supporting tools or applications.
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in business application support, systems integration, or functional analysis roles.
  • Experience with SAP ERP (ECC or S / 4HANA) modules such as MM, PP, SD, or FI / CO preferred.
  • Exposure to manufacturing systems, particularly Honeywell OptiVision, is a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of business processes within manufacturing, supply chain, and operations environments.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, functional design, and system configuration.
  • Experience with data integration tools, APIs, or middleware preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • On-call availability may be required for critical network issues and emergencies.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
