Department / Unit Summary

A Pre-Operative (Pre-Op) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse is a registered nurse specializing in the perioperative care of patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role encompasses preparing patients for surgery and providing critical post-anesthesia care to ensure safe and effective recovery.​

Key Responsibilities :

• Pre-Operative Duties :

Patient Assessment : Evaluate patients' medical histories, current health statuses, and readiness for surgery, including reviewing lab results and ensuring informed consent forms are correctly completed.​

Monitoring : Observe and assess patients emerging from anesthesia, monitoring vital signs, consciousness levels, and for any adverse reactions or complications.​

Recovery Assessment : Evaluate patients' readiness for discharge from the PACU, providing post-operative care instructions and coordinating with other healthcare professionals for continued care. Key Responsibilities :
