Compensation : $125K - $135K (DOE) + Bonus Potential

Their work spans redevelopment planning, sub-area plans, urban design, strategic investment planning, economic development, and general land-use planning.

They are seeking a supportive, energetic, and creative Senior Planner / Project Manager who shares their passion for enhancing quality of life and strengthening communities through thoughtful, engaging, and sustainable planning.

What You'll Do :

As a Senior Planner / Project Manager, you'll play a key role in leading and supporting projects that shape the future of communities. Responsibilities include :

Designing and preparing communications and outreach materials for planning initiatives.

Supporting public workshops and community engagement events , including facilitation and feedback synthesis.

Researching and analyzing community data to uncover trends and insights, presented in clear, compelling formats.

Preparing and delivering presentations and reports for clients, stakeholders, and the public.

Developing maps, graphics, and visual storytelling materials to communicate planning concepts.

Writing and editing planning documents that are both technically sound and easily understood.

Assisting with document formatting, review, and production for deliverables and proposals.

Additional Leadership & Development Opportunities :

Support business development and client relationship management.

Assist in identifying and pursuing new project opportunities across Indiana and Ohio.

Contribute to proposal development (RFQs / RFPs), including budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.

Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal professional development.

Collaborate with other departments (marketing, outreach, project development) on planning-related initiatives.

What You'll Bring :

8+ years of professional experience in Community Planning, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or Community Development.

Proven project and / or task management experience.

AICP accreditation preferred (or ability to obtain).

Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) .

Experience using ArcView GIS and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) .

Highly motivated, able to manage multiple concurrent projects independently in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes :

Excellent organizational skills , with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations relevant to planning and community development.

Familiarity with funding sources and application processes related to public and private sector projects.
