Administrative Assistant - Association Services
Rate : $18-$22 / hour based on education and experience
Status : Full Time - 40 hours / week
The YMCA of Central Ohio is seeking a highly organized and service-focused Administrative Assistant to support the Association Services Office and our People & Culture team. This role proactively manages a range of administrative, office management, and project coordination responsibilities that help our association operate efficiently and deliver an exceptional experience for staff and visitors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and committed to the Y's mission. They demonstrate strong communication skills, thrive in a collaborative environment, and consistently provide a welcoming and professional presence for all who interact with our Association Services team.

Qualifications / Requirements
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience / training; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other computer programsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPassionate belief in the Y's cause of nurturing youth potential, supporting healthy living, and strengthening communityAbility to work effectively with individuals from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgroundsDemonstrated ability to build authentic, respectful relationshipsAbility to foster collaboration when addressing challengesEssential Functions

Visitor access and receptionIncoming / outgoing mail and package routingCopier / printer maintenance (supplies, paper, troubleshooting)Conference room schedulingUpkeep of shared spacesOrdering and distributing office suppliesProvides project coordination and high-level support for key People & Culture initiatives, including human resources administrative functionsServes as a People & Culture liaison, assisting staff teams with planning and executing special events and projectsMaintains and executes systems for employee hiring and onboarding, including background checks, verifications, and HRIS tasksSupports administrative needs related to training events, including logistics, materials, and food ordersHelps manage the internal People & Culture ticketing system to ensure timely and helpful service to YMCA team membersUpholds organizational policies related to youth protection, including adherence to boundaries, completing required training, and reporting concernsWorks effectively with individuals across diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and rolesDemonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racismPerforms all other duties as assigned to advance the mission of the YMCA
