We're hiring a Product-led-Growth (PLG) Marketing Manager to partner with a fast-growing global intelligence company. With strong product-market fit, profitability, and a rapidly scaling platform, this role is central to driving customer conversion, retention, and upsell opportunities through in-product engagement and optimization.

In this role, you'll monitor user behavior, create targeted messaging, optimize freemium conversion funnels, and collaborate with product and customer success teams to improve adoption and retention. As a PLG Marketing Manager, your success will be defined by your ability to optimize product-led growth initiatives, reduce churn, and increase lifetime value through data-driven experimentation. You'll combine insights from user behavior with targeted messaging and funnel optimization to ensure seamless transitions from freemium to paid and maximize engagement.

Here's how you'll make an impact :

Product Experience Optimization

  • Monitor user behavior to identify upsell opportunities.
  • Develop in-product prompts and messaging that encourage subscription upgrades and additional purchases.
  • Create onboarding and adoption strategies to drive deeper product usage.

Churn Reduction & Retention

  • Build targeted messaging for users at risk of cancellation.
  • Develop automated campaigns that highlight value and incentivize retention.
  • Design in-product engagement flows to encourage long-term adoption.
  • Website & Conversion Optimization

  • Partner with marketing to refine freemium website pages, landing pages, and CTAs.
  • Optimize sign-up flows to improve conversion from leads to paid users.
  • Conduct A / B testing across web and in-product experiences.
  • Analytics & Performance Tracking

  • Use product analytics and heatmap tools to identify usage trends.
  • Track KPIs across conversion, churn, and engagement.
  • Continuously optimize campaigns using data-driven insights.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, marketing, and customer success to align on retention and growth goals.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within retention and engagement initiatives.
  • Leverage PLG platforms to manage churn, upsell, and retention campaigns.
  • You'll collaborate closely with the client's Chief Marketing Officer and the Chief Product and Technology Officer.

    At Oceans, you'll also receive guidance and support from our Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in the role and ensure that you're continuously growing and developing in your career.

    Skills & Qualifications

As a PLG Marketing Manager, your vertical focus will be product-led growth optimization, while your horizontal strengths should include website CRO, messaging, and analytics.

    To excel in this role, you should have :

  • Experience : 35 years in growth, product, or retention marketing, ideally in SaaS.
  • PLG Knowledge : Proven experience using product data to identify upsell, cross-sell, and engagement opportunities.
  • Conversion Optimization : Familiarity with CRO best practices, landing page optimization, and funnel management.
  • Tools : Proficiency with platforms like GainSight, Pendo, Candu, or UserPilot, and product analytics tools.
  • A / B Testing : Hands-on experience running experiments to improve conversion and retention.
  • Communication : Excellent skills in crafting persuasive, customer-centric messaging.
  • Collaboration : Ability to work across Product, Customer Success, and Marketing teams.
  • Bonus skills :

  • Familiarity with heatmap and behavior analytics tools.
  • Experience in freemium or subscription-based SaaS environments.
  • Background in retention or churn management strategies.
  • Exposure to customer advocacy or engagement programs.

  • Role Specifications

    This is a remote role , where you will be expected to work a split shift with some overlap with our client's time zone. You will, however, be expected to be present for in-person training programs during your first 90 days with us.
