Salary : $52,000 Anually
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Hub Director is responsible providing programmatic support organizing and scheduling the variety of programs, services, and community events that are offered through OCC’s Dementia Hub in accordance with OCC’s philosophies, mission / vision, core values, policies / procedures, and strategic objectives.
- Provide strategic and visionary leadership in alignment with organizational goals and objectives to the hub’s non-clinical employees, volunteers, and interns while ensuring continuous innovation and development through regular coaching sessions using OCC’s leadership philosophy, training, and regular team meetings
- Lead the recruitment, training, and supervision of program staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and excellence
- Oversee day to day operations including managing staffing patterns (vacation requests, staffing needs, maintaining compliance with employee certifications / requirements) and resource management
- Order food and programmatic supplies in line with the designated budget
- Provide concierge to make sure all guests feel welcome, provide tours / information, answer phones, etc.
- Ensure the Hub environment represents the energy, creativity, and joy of OCC standards.
- Order supplies and maintain inventory for events, clinic, boutique / exchange store, office supplies, etc.
- Provide oversight to ensuring that families are aligned and referred to the variety of program and services offered by OCC, specifically GUIDE, COPE, Family Support Navigation, Education and Workshops, etc.
- Provide support to the clinic by helping to schedule and organizing appointments, assisting with quality management tasks for documentation / charting, tracking physician orders, coordinating referrals, the delivery of education materials, etc.
- Provide Quality Management Oversight to align with licensing standards, fire / disaster drills, environmental standards, and other regulation requirements for the clinic and kitchen
- Set up setting up and coordinate Memory Cafes (ex. Classroom set up, registration, pastries / coffee, other logistics.
- Set up and coordinate inclusive events such as Happy Hours , Music and Memories, family nights, paint parties, ice cream socials, etc.
- Set up and coordinate logistics for community education events and community memory screens.
- Participate and collaborate in team meetings.
- Complete various outcomes measurement and tracking reports in alignment with grant / contractual obligations
- Collaborate and maintain professional relationships with other professionals, community organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance member care and support services.
- Maintain up-to date information on the community and evolving program trends in the field of Gerontology.
- Understand and follow OCC policies and procedures.
- Participate in additional opportunities for growth and development.
- Support OCC’s fundraising efforts, and special events
- Performs job related duties as deemed necessary by the Chief Operating Officer / President and CEO.
Qualifications
- Preferred college degree in social services, recreation, nursing, or other human services degrees.
- CPR, First Aid, Food Handler’s Card
- Must have proof of a negative TB test Must have current DPS clearance and pass a background check.
- Strong relational, communication, and discretionary skills
- Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to self-initiate and collaborate within a team.
- Proficient computer skills
- Detail oriented
- Previous experience in dementia care
