About The Position

Job Opening : Temp CSFA – Operating Room (OR)

Location : Mattoon, IL

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Days (6 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM) | 10 hours / day

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) to join their Operating Room team on a temporary basis. The CSFA will perform at a competent level of technologist practice, supporting surgical teams in emergency, elective, and scheduled cases. The role demands proficiency in various surgical specialties and advanced technologies, including robotic surgery.

Key Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during operative procedures as a first assistant.

Maintain patient care standards consistent with a multidisciplinary team approach.

Support emergency and scheduled surgical cases with technical expertise.

Foster a caring, patient-focused environment for both patients and staff.

Requirements

Minimum 1+ year experience as a First Assist.

Proficient in orthopedic procedures : total joints, hip fractures, arthroscopy, ORIFs, shoulder scopes and replacements.

Skilled in General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Gynecology, and Urology.

Experience with Da Vinci robotic systems (required).

Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) credential (required).

Current BLS (AHA) certification.
