Responsibilities Position is within a hospital float pool, covering pediatric units as assigned Expected to work night shifts with holiday and weekend coverage required Three 12-hour shifts per week for the duration of the assignment Patient population includes pediatric patients with a wide range of medical conditions Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care for pediatric patients with complex and diverse health needs Expected to assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and minor diagnostic treatments Accountable for documentation of treatments, interventions, and changes in patient condition Required to educate and interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions Delegates tasks appropriately to support staff and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team Must adhere to facility guidelines regarding holiday and weekend shift assignments Requirements Current OK RN license or valid multistate compact RN license (eNLC) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association At least 1 year of nursing experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary Ability to respond effectively to diverse patient and family needs Some computer proficiency is required Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility—local candidates not eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621251.
