American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with pediatric experience and required Epic proficiency for night shifts in a fast-paced emergency department.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency DepartmentHandles an average daily census of 70 with 160 visits per dayUnit includes 36 rooms and 50 bedsCare for patients with a wide range of complaints from minor injuries to complex trauma and emergencies12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM), 36 hours per weekEvery other weekend requiredNo on-call responsibilitiesFloating expected for helping hands or team nursing, including ICU and patient sitting assignmentsSpecial procedures include conscious sedation, trauma alert / activation, stroke alert, cath lab activation, and SANE consultationSpecial equipment includes point of care ultrasound, USGPIV, EPOC, Belmont, Ranger, and teleneurologyUnit uses Epic for documentation, Omnicell for medication, and SBAR / Voalte for communicationUnit orientation consists of 36 hours over 1 week of class and clinical timeTeam nursing and helping hands approach supports staff with float assignmentsPatient population includes acute and chronic conditions, trauma, psychiatric, and substance use casesNo restriction on scrub color; any color is acceptableDrug screen required within 14 days of startTravelers within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local pay rateProfessional references are required for considerationReturn time off (RTO) must be included with application\n \n Requirements\n
Active NH or compact RN licenseMinimum 2 years of current ER experienceExperience with pediatric populations highly preferredCertifications required : ACLS, PALS, CPI, TNCCEpic EMR experience requiredBLS certification accepted only from AHA or Red CrossFirst-time travelers are not accepted for this positionCandidates must not have been a former employee at any facility associated with SolutionHealth\n Benefits\n
