What Does a Lead Mitigation Technician with Paul Davis Do?

The Lead Mitigation Technician is responsible for overseeing and executing mitigation projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The Lead Mitigation Technician will work closely with Project Managers, management, and technicians to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction.

Leadership and Teamwork

  • Exemplify leadership within the mitigation team, setting a positive example for technicians.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers and Management toward achieving departmental goals.
  • Contribute to departmental improvement, fostering a strong culture and positive morale.
  • Be a team player and promote teamwork within the mitigation department.

Professional Development and Compliance

  • Maintain required industry certifications and ensure ongoing professional development.
  • Participate in the GS&R (Goal Setting and Review) program to foster professional development.
  • Adhere to the IICRC S500 and S520 to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Project Execution

  • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Complete all work within acceptable timeframes to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Attend and actively participate in daily and weekly mitigation meetings.
  • Utilize appropriate equipment, tools, and technology to properly mitigate jobs.
  • Lead mitigation technicians in a safe, thoughtful, and time-conscious manner.
  • Documentation and Communication

  • Thoroughly document projects before, during, and after completion with clear, high-quality photos.
  • Obtain Matterport scans of properties to ensure accurate documentation of job sites.
  • Enter job notes in the Restoration Management Software (RMS) daily to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with all parties throughout the work process, including customers, team members, and management.
  • Document all communication with policyholders to ensure transparency and accuracy.
  • Financial and Administrative Tasks

  • Reconcile credit card receipts daily to maintain accurate financial documentation.
  • Keep organized and up-to-date job folders for each project.
  • Assist with any management requests during all phases of project execution.
  • Report any issues to managers and Project Managers in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Proactive Problem Solving

  • Proactively address foreseeable issues and mitigate problems as quickly as possible.
  • Ensure all job sites are left in a clean and professional condition upon project completion.
