Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for two dedicated Special Education Teachers to support K-8 students in a dynamic school setting located near Rockford, IL. This full-time contract role begins in late July or early August 2025, aligning with the start of the academic year and professional development sessions, and concludes in early June 2026.
This position primarily involves working within special education resource classrooms focusing on pull-out services, with occasional push-in support, serving approximately 90 students across lower and upper academies who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 plans. Teachers will manage caseloads within consistent grade bands, ensuring tailored support to meet each student's unique learning goals.

The school provides all necessary technology, including laptops, to support educators in their instructional and administrative responsibilities. Some students receive 1 : 1 aide support, although these are not self-contained classrooms.
