Job Summary :
As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in the immediate post-operative care of surgical patients. Your responsibilities include airway management, monitoring neurological and cardiac status, responding promptly to complications, providing initial wound care, and ensuring patient stability during recovery. You will collaborate closely with the surgical and anesthesia teams. This role may include on-call availability during select non-business hours.
Responsibilities :
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team, collaborating with providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to safely and independently care for patients.
- Assess and monitor patient condition throughout your shift, documenting changes and provided care thoroughly.
- Educate patients and families / caregivers regarding medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures.
Required Qualifications :
Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last year) acute care PACU RN experience; Critical Care experience is strongly preferred.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment start.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment start.Must hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license (Diploma or Associate Degree).Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure is acceptable if applicable.To Apply :
