Job Summary :
OSI – Arlington is seeking a dependable Assembler / Test Technician I to support the assembly and testing of heavy steel components in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will assist in mechanical assembly and testing processes, operate various tools and equipment, and support multiple departments within the facility. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone mechanically inclined and eager to grow in a team-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist with the assembly of large mechanical parts and equipment using hand and hydraulic tools.
Operate equipment including hand tools, hydraulic torque and tensioning devices, presses, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
Support mechanical testing programs and follow manufacturing engineering procedures.
Collaborate with other departments as needed for production and molding tasks.
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure cleanliness of assigned area.
Follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and experienced team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Firsthand experience using common hand tools.
Proven record of safe work practices in an industrial or mechanical setting.
Nice-to-Have Experience :
Previous work in heavy manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or testing environments.
Experience working outdoors or in variable weather conditions.
Experience assisting with hydraulic or pressure testing operations.
Required Skills :
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills :
Comfortable using hydraulic torque tools, presses, and tensioning systems.
Basic forklift or overhead crane operation experience.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn multiple roles within the shop.

Ability to climb, bend, lift, and stand for extended periods.
Capable of lifting up to 75–100 pounds with assistance.
Creative mindset and willingness to take initiative in process improvements.
