Job description

Overview :

  • This position will ensure timely delivery and pickup of audio-visual equipment.
  • This position will support the organization by maintaining a high level of client satisfaction with the timeliness in which they receive their product and professionally handling any issues that may arise.
  • This position will report to the Director of Logistics.

Essential Functions :

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Operate company vehicles for deliveries and pickups according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • Transports loads safely and in a timely manner while obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
  • Plan and complete an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
  • Deliver products to correct address, maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
  • Pick up equipment along the scheduled route, including company orders, and other items as requested.
  • Load and unload goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unload empty skids and return all equipment to designated area.
  • Interact professionally with clients, acting as a liaison for the company.
  • Maintain basic records of truck mileage and deliveries performed.
  • Ensure the delivery vehicle receives basic service according to the maintenance schedule and reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to the Manager as well as performing daily safety checks.
  • Works closely with Logistics and performs cross-functional duties with other departments.

  • Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and / or web-based or physical maps.
  • Ability to plan delivery routes.
  • Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
  • Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • Thorough understanding of traffic regulations, road signs, and routes.

    • Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

    • Work Environment :

  • Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and warehouse environments and is regularly exposed to heavy machinery and noise.

    • Physical Demands :

  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
  • The employee must frequently lift and / or move items over 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    • Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :

  • This is a full-time position.

    • Days and hours of office operation are Monday through Friday 8 :

  • 00am to 6 : 00pm.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work are required as job duties demand.

    • Travel :

  • Travel may be required for this position as mandated by the needs of the multiple Nationwide locations which would include out-of-area and overnight travel.

    • Required Education and Experience :

  • Must be 21 years of age Hold or obtain a Class A CDL License Pass a DOT Medical Examination Complete Entry-Level Driver Training Test (ELDT) 3-5 years of experience maintaining a delivery route with excellent customer service Forklift certification Possess a clean driving record High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Education and Experience : 5+ years of experience maintaining a delivery route with excellent customer service Forklift certification Possess or be able to complete requirements for Commercial Driver’s License Other Duties : Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this position.
