Manufacturing Processor - Dairy (3rd Shift)

JOB TITLE : Processor.

DEPARTMENT : Production.

REPORTS TO : Production Supervisor.

JOB PURPOSE :

Responsible for using and assuring operation of automated and computerized processing equipment in a manner that ensures compliance with regulatory standards and within I-85 standards, good manufacturing practices and poses no threat to the health and safety of the consuming public. Responsible for recording proper information on charts and C.I.P. records. Coordinates product laboratory analysis with lab technician. Standardize, homogenize, fortifies, and pasteurizes milk. Mixes and batches ingredients to process fruit juices. Responsible for fulfilling master sanitation and safety assignments. Responsible for keeping processing area clean at all times. Duties may also include any other work deemed necessary by management. Follow “IF DOWN DO” strategies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must follow Department Safe Work Practices and Plant Safe Guidelines.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work unsupervised and at times, independently.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must have understanding of mechanics involved in connections, pumps, product flow and cleaning operations.
• Must have general math skills.
• Must adhere to proper Lockout / Tagout procedures.
• Vacation may be affected with the job transfer.
• Will follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
• Will support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.
• Will be accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
