CNC Lathe / Mill Programmer / Engineer

Overview :

The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven history of writing complete CNC Lathe and or Mill Programs from scratch and also modifying existing programs. Job requires a strong foundation in manufacturing process development and problem solving, hands-on experience in CNC Machining, Programming, Materials, Cycle Time Analysis, CAD / CAM and manufacturing processes.

Essential job functions and responsibilities :

• Programming CNC Lathes and Mills for precision machined components.
• Analyze programs to reduce cycle times, setup operations, scrap and labor costs.
• Work with operators and machinists to determine optimal processes to achieve all quality standards.
• Determine cost effective manufacturing processes including standard and custom tooling, work-holding fixtures and functional gages.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for quotes and procurement of cutting tools, work holding and other advanced machine tooling.
• Maintain engineering documents and programs as required by internal document control procedures and industry standards.

Required Skills and Experience :
