Transportation Design Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Transportation Design Engineer with a background in civil engineering, preferably a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or an individual nearing PE certification within the next 3-6 months. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in transportation design and will be responsible for assisting in the initiation of projects and preparing construction plans for review by the design lead. Candidates with a PE and over 5 years of experience are eligible for fully remote work.
Responsibilities
Assist in the initiation and development of transportation design projects.
Prepare construction plans for review by the design lead.
Engage in roadway and highway design, particularly in roundabout design for urban and rural areas.
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders regarding project progress and deadlines.
Essential Skills
4+ years of experience in transportation design.
Expertise in Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Open Roads.
Proficiency in roadway and highway design.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and stakeholders.
Understanding of project lifecycle management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in roundabout design is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with Bentley InRoads Suite.
Potential to grow in business development or engineering management.
Work Environment
This role offers flexibility with options for in-office, hybrid, or remote work. Our offices are located in Colorado Springs and Denver, and you will be joining a growing team of approximately 10 members, including many junior engineers. We emphasize a great work-life balance, encouraging a 40-hour work week. The team has experienced significant growth, expanding from 5 to 50 members in five years, and offers excellent leadership opportunities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $130000.00 / yr.
