COMPENSATION
$33.84 - $44.07 per hour. Nonexempt; 40 hours / week; Eligible for Overtime. Compensation based on education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required : H.S. Diploma or G.E.D., Security Plus certification, and at least 5 years of technical experience with PC workstations, laptops, and mobile devices. Able to perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 software, PC and network troubleshooting. At least 2 years of Microsoft Active Directory administration. Basic understanding of network infrastructure & topology; switch, routing & firewall / VPN configuration. Basic knowledge of wireless networks and advanced experience configuring, deploying, and supporting Windows operating systems, as well as Office Suite / Office 365 or later components. Basic understanding and use of Windows Powershell, Office 365, Azure Active Directory management tools. Ability to configure user accounts and e-mail server configuration in the Exchange Online environment; experience with hardware, including monitors, keyboards, mice, network devices, printers, ergonomic equipment, video & sound card installations.
Experience with Windows RDP and other remote support client software. Possess proficient technical writing skills. Be able to configure and operate varying levels of A / V equipment. Be able to configure and provide end-user support of mobile devices. Be able to administer a Mobile Device Management (MDM) system. Possess a fundamental understanding of security, including, but not limited to; concepts, management, realms, and branches. Possess a working knowledge of network cabling, including, but not limited to, run length limitations, application, and installation methods. Capable of working with system schematics, building blueprints, diagnostic flow charts, and other technical forms.
Drivers license for at least two years and driving record acceptable to insurance carrier.
Valid California driver's license; auto in safe operating condition; auto liability insurance; good driving record; criminal record clearance; proof of authorization to work in the United States as required by Immigration and Reform Act of 1986. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred : 2 years college or A.A. in a computer-related area or equivalent; experience in telephone and technical support, and / or customer training preferred; experience with configuring networking IoT devices, multi-function office machines and electronic security equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensuring IT responds in a timely manner to problems and questions reported by program sites.
2. Maintaining helpdesk database of troubleshooting events, solutions to past problems and computer resources.
3. Working proactively to verify that systems are working properly and follow up as necessary after service calls.
4. Maintaining accurate, detailed records of equipment and software distribution to ensure license compliance and help plan preventive maintenance tasks.
5. Installing, maintaining and replacing hardware components as needed on agency staff computers, including cleaning interior and exterior areas and peripherals as needed.
6. Installing, maintaining and updating software on agency staff computers, including Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office / O365 components (including Outlook) and related products and other software purchased for specific purposes, including but not limited to Adobe Products, Avatar and Abila\MAS.
7. Preparing and reallocating used hardware as directed; moves computer equipment as needed from one site to another. Recovers, tests, and redistributes any viable equipment and components.
8. Contribute to design & implementation of Active Directory Group Policies for entire organization
9. Contribute to design & implementation of SharePoint Online / OneDrive integration and synchronization with Active Directory
10. Administers employee on-boarding / off-boarding of IT user accounts, equipment and workspaces
11. Works with supervisor to prioritize workload; communicates clearly with supervisor; follows overall directions; can recognize lack of knowledge in particular fields and express as such to ensure appropriate expertise is sought for solutions.
12. Adjusts work hours as necessary to accommodate staff schedules. Carries a cell phone and may be required to respond to calls on nights and weekends as assigned.
13. Assists in deploying IT services to Housing Department requiring network access, such as building security systems, cameras, and recorders.
14. Maintains, configures and deploys cloud-based IP Phone System, users accounts and equipment
15. Provides basic instruction on the operation of equipment to end users as necessary
16. Trains end-users on the use and features of the various operating systems and applications on the various platforms; clearly communicate and explain issues with customers.
17. Assists in ensuring compliance with established agency standards regarding the use of hardware and software.
18. Complies with all OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, and Interim policies while performing any company duties, on or off Interim property.
19. Contributes to IT projects proficiently, without compromising quality of service to end users or the organization.
20. Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to Director of IT, completing inventory audits; identifying helpdesk trends; recommending system improvements, and implementing any required changes.
21. Performs all diagnostic duties in a timely and professional manner.
22. Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to : operate a motor vehicle, to climb stairs and ladders, to read data on a computer screen, to hear normal conversations and answer phones, to verbally communicate with staff, residents and agency visitors orally and in writing; hand, finger and body coordination sufficient to use computer and other equipment and tools needed for technical work, and to write legibly. See well enough to read data on a computer screen and text in written documents; perform extensive computer keyboard operations. Capable of the following extended activities : walking, standing, sitting. Capable of the following intermittent activities : stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, and crawling in the performance of infrequently performed duties.
