Job description

Locum Tenens Job Opportunity : Physician Assistant - Pulmonology - South Carolina

A reputable healthcare organization near Startex, SC, is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Pulmonology to provide inpatient support for pulmonologists. This locum tenens position offers a fantastic opportunity for a Physician Assistant with current inpatient / acute care experience to make a meaningful impact in patient care.

Details :

  • Profession : Physician Assistant

  • Schedule : Day Shift, 5x12-Hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 00)
  • Block Schedules : No
  • Caseload : 100% Adults
  • Setting : Hospital - Inpatient / Acute Care

Requirements :

  • License : Must have SC License - no exceptions
  • Start Date : Immediate start, with ongoing availability for 60-90 days initially
  • Experience : Current inpatient / acute care experience required
  • Willingness : Not willing to license
  • Name Clear : Yes

    • Responsibilities :

    As a Physician Assistant in Pulmonology, you will work closely with pulmonologists to provide comprehensive inpatient care to adult patients. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Conducting patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning under the supervision of pulmonologists.
  • Providing inpatient support for pulmonologists, including rounding, patient consultations, and assisting with procedures.
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educating patients and their families about pulmonary conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
