Job descriptionDate Posted : 08 / 20 / 2025 Build scalable, high-volume services and REST-based web services following a microservice architecture. Design, develop and deliver software on progressive and growing platforms, primarily using AWS, Java, and Spring Boot. Develop one-off applications using AWS, Lambda and NodeJS. Develop using databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MySQL). Deploy Java-based applications on AWS EKS Clusters. Closely partner with other Software Engineers and Software Quality Engineers and engage in team efforts. Work with architecture and engineering teams to produce high-quality technology solutions. Work in an Agile / Scrum environment. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and AWS services (Lambda, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, S3, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, API Gateway, CloudFormation). Experience deploying Java-based applications on AWS EKS Clusters. Hands-on experience with NoSQL and relational databases. Proficient at dealing with support requests and / or troubleshooting. Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog. Hands-on experience building low latency and high throughput transactional services with CI and automated testing. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

Our client, a major Streaming / Entertainment company, is seeking a Java, Spring / Boot focused, Microservices Engineer with experience in AWS and building high traffic / highly complex systems.
Note : Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. For W2 consultants, a benefits package is offered that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Pay : $75 - $80 / hr W2
